Operation Stranglehold

The Darkshire Guard where ordered to head south to Stranglethorne Vale. Their aim? To cut smuggling and crime in the southern regions. The Guards where ordered to assemble at Y-Camp. From there they where ordered to meet the Rebel Camp inhabitants at arrange trade routes between Darkshire and themselves, giving the Kingdom exotic fruits and meat from the Jungles. From there the real fight begun.

The Guards setting down routes in Rebel Camp.
They where ordered to head east, to a compound well known for its smuggerling and crime, their orders to destroy all produce inside their cave system. Many guards fell in the glorious charge across the vast plains of Stranglethorne Vale! Their lives will be honored every December the 1st. Once the charges where placed they raced to exit the cave system before the charges exploded. Once everyone was a safe distance. Commander Stormeye had snipers kill off any hostiles attempting to enter and save the cave. Before long the whole compound was up in flames, and sounds of ammo exploded rolled up and down the hills of Stranglethorne Vale. All guards knew they just advertised their entrance into these new lands. Many more dangers where to come. Disease, Pirates and of course, trouble back at Stormwind.

Before long the new Cultist groups caused the Darkshire Guard to withdraw and aid the Kingdom in their new protocall and therefore Operation Stranglehold came to an abrupt end.

Gilneas Aid Mission (GAM)

The Darkshire Guard where ordered to initiate GAM. Their orders where simple. Repair, Rebuild and Rehome. Firstly Drillmaster Yerrac and Quarter Master Kindul both landed at Basecamp Emberstone, a small village fixed up by Stormwind labourers hired by Commander Danius. Here with the help of the commander they drew up plans of how the operation will unfold. The materials recquired, the men needed, the equipment needed and dangers which the guards may of face in the cold, wet and unforgiving terrain of Gilneas. The guard aid force, of around 100 men hit the banks of Gilneas, just south east of Emberstone Village. They were ordered inside Emberstone where they would unpack and ready themselves for drill.

After a week of building, repairing and speaking with the locals the surrounding areas begun to improve. Soon the order to enter the City came. The entire guard was ordered to meet on the east bridge of Gilneas City. In a 2 column formation they marched into the city. Shields ready. The main fear was of the feral worgens. Spotted often in the empty city. The entire force marched slowly down the deserted streets, peering at the roof tops and around the city, waiting for something to jump out at them. There was no trouble however, the occasionly burned the forsaken banners, tents or contraption. Collecting any documents worth taken, and burning the rest. They wanted to make sure any return of the forsaken was for no success. After a couple of hours, spreading thoughout the city looking for hostiles and survivers they grouped just north of the city. Along a long brick road. Their final task had begun.

Intel from Scouting Squad:

The start of the Forsaken forces in Gilneas. Clearly the plague spreaders are operational and releasing their toxins into the surrounding area. This is one of the pictures which caused the officers to purchase over one hundred gas masks for each man all with inbuilt radio.

A large container in which the plague was prepared. After consulting a demolition expert with these pictures Commander was able to work out four small and controlled charges could destroy the container in a safe way.

A clear closeup of a working plague spreader. The scout waiting for three hours for the correct timing to see the pumps opening, showing a vital weakness and therefore allowing the guards to play small times explosives on each pump, yet blowing it up with incredible force.

Their task was simple. Defeat or cripple the last forsaken invasion force on the road out of Gilneas. This went without a problem for a little while, setting explosives on the plague spreaders and slaughtering the forsaken footmen on the ground. However the sounds and smoke from the explosions became a becon, which the forsaken forces acted apon quickly. Setting up firing squads along the road. Many guards feel in the attack. The Darkshire Guard however pushed forward, breaking the lines of forsaken and pushing their forces back. Commander Stormeye and his guards pushed them behind the Greymane Wall. Commander Jacob Danius Stormeye then radioed the fleet of bombers which where newly adapted from the past operation (Airborne). These planes which first droped aid packages on victims of the Shattering instead droped large incentary bombs, flying low for perfect accuracy. Once all eight planes had droped fire onto the remaining Forsaken forces, the Darkshire Guard where well away, watching the fine display of fireworks. Once the fire died down, the Darkshire Guard cleaned up the mess they had created and final handed Gilneas over to the new inhabitants. Promising future aid the towns and city folk of the area.

Operation Doomsday

A long and deadly operation to destroy The New Awakening before they could carry on with their plan to destroy Azeroth. After tracking them down though Deadwind Pass the Darkshire Guard had the TNA basecamp, Karazhan battlements insight. Commander Jacob Stormeye lead the charge with over one hundred other guards by his side. The Commander was shot though the chest by sniper fire as did any other guards fataly killing most. Lt-Commander Barry Hatchet then lead the charge. Moralin was found alone waiting to complete the final stage of the ceromony. Hatchet and Moralin dueled to death. Times look bleak for the Lt-Commander however inches away from death he was able to throw Morlain off the bridge and head first onto the hard rocks below. Victory was won. Azeroth was saved. But at a great cost to the guard force.
